1. Skimming the wall

​

-Before starting the installation, make sure the surface is smooth and clean.

- You may lay a thin layer of setting material on the surface to ensure that it is ready for the tile.

 

2. Mix up the adhesive

​

- Adding some water to the powder in a bucket. Use the mixing paddle to stir and keep adding powder until you get a toothpaste-like consistency. 

 

3. Applying tile adhesive 

​

- Apply the adhesive to the ledge with a notched trowel. Hold the notched trowel/spreader at an angle of 45 degrees to create ridges of even width and depth.

 

4. Installing the Tiles

​

-Lay the tiles one by one based on the design. 

-Using the float tool tap across the surface to make sure the tiles are installed securely.

 

5. Grouting

​

-Load a rubber grout float with grout, and push it across the tiles at a 45-degree angle

-Make sure no air bubbles are present in the grout joint.

 

6. Cleaning

​

- Wipe down the tiles with your sponge and cold water, at a 45-degree angle, to remove the haze from the tile face.
